It's laughable that we actually need to play San Marino.

Rooney still not really sure why we got a penalty though.

Shelvey started and has been compared to Pirlo already by Hoddle facepalm:

Would of been nice of Rooney to have just passed it to their keeper, he knew full well it wasn't a penalty and it's not like we wouldn't win anyway.

It's just awful to watch, the only thing they can do is try and injure people, it's like we're playing a team of Scott Browns

6-0 now. Walcott looking decent for once. It is San Marino though.

I like how shelvey plays. His balls through the middle are decent. Provided a glimmer of interest in what's usually the most boring football you will ever see.

I'm one of the few people who actually thinks he's mildly good (same as Huddlestone) can pick a pass with the best of them

Anyone with the name Jonjo should be instantly banned from the team imo.

Best name ever tbh. He can pass and he can shoot. Playing in that Swansea team has certainly helped develop him.

I hate shelvey. Never really rated him, but this season I've got a feeling I'm going to be eating my words.

Is Rooney close to breaking a record tonight?

Maybe everyone can shut the fuck up about Rooney breaking this record now then.

Well done, let's move on and realise it's a team game, the 7 in a row is more impressive.

Maybe nobody ever will... Yeah, in the entire future of football, no-one will EVER break his record. Fucking retarded commentators, they've been as shambolic as ever tonight. Constant mistakes and bullshit

I doubt he's bothered. 300k a week and in the history books as 7 in a roal goalscorer and top scorer. Not bad at all.

The commentators were awful last night. Going on about Kane scoring 3 goals in 4 appearances - maybe he will be the next Rooney and then 10 minutes later when Rooney gets his goal they go on about not having seen anyone currently playing that could challenge his record.

It's an impressive achievement tbh. But he really needs to step up and score in the Euros next year.

6 tournament goals I think they said.

Well done him, but what's he actually achieved? Nothing really, same as every England player for 60 years

David Beckham still looks better than pretty much any of our current midfielders
