Weird how it looks to have lost most of its energy, then starts to violently flip again.

Hitting the barrier was his biggest problem imo

I'd disagree and say driving over the grass on the left hand side was the biggest problem, the barrier hitting was a result of that cock up. Epic crash though!

Car stood up bloody well considering speed and the impact and all those rolls.

Something was posted on my FB yesterday which suggested the driver was seriously injured Not surprising after seeing the video though.

Lack of driver skill was his biggest problem.

I thought the same, I'm wondering if it was sliding along on its side and then suddenly caught and started flipping.

Car dug in most likely. Surely to withstand an impact like that on what appears to be the a pillars, It must have a rollcage fitted?

Looking at the pics of it on a recovery truck I'd say it wasn't caged but I dunno if the one I'm looking at is the same car.
Guy seemed to be out the car and on his feet at the end of the video?

Looks to have been sliding on its side before it goes in to the barrel roll. Impressive physics either way, hope he's OK.

The most amazing thing about that is the driver can still open the door like nothing happened..

Read so many YT/FB comments about this video over the last few days saying stuff like "OMG, can't believe people are just driving past" (referring to the blue Astra I guess) or "it's nice to see somebody going to help for once, normally people just drive past on the 'ring".
Probably innocent line of thought, but getting out of a car on any track is dangerous - the Nurburgring more so than others.

Especially where they decided to leave there car, right in the path of where people would be pushed to coming out the corner
See the other cars pulling over behind the barrier on the inside of the corner.
They even tell you not to pull over for accidents.

I think the guy did the right thing, its easy to just go through life not giving a fuck, it takes bollocks to put your head above the parapet and help someone.
