Yay. Off out to Mabie forest for a cycle with a group of freinds this morning. Can't wait, it's been ages.
Didn't quite manage 2000 miles last year so that's my aim for this year.

Ditto, lost all interest tbh, the bunch I go with are total stravatards now. Sucked the fun right out of it for me. Fucked it off about mid November! Segment this strava that fuck off lol...

Had a great ride out with about 10 people this morning. I sucked fitness wise but the social side of it was great fun.

I was knackered, and a bit hung over. Fun though.

Anyone else's strava not working properly on iPhone?
Mine doesn't display the weeks activities. Says I have done 0 miles this week.

Need new tyres on the bike before I get it out again. Was thinking these... http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mobile/maxxis-larsen-tt-xc-mtb-tyre-lust/rp-prod17334?gs=1&gclid=Cj0KEQiAtri0BRDLoaCF95e7o_sBEiQA_pgRQ53qDg6Od9cFUxf2RIBi-EkOvo2DhKHvNhM3B3A_IpIaAo8y8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds
Will be used for xc stuff, little to zero Road use

I think they're a cracking front tyre and a real good price at the moment.

good tyre but this time of year and using it for xc would you not want something with more grip

Dug my bike out over Xmas. Fitted new inner tubes. Inflated the front and rear shocks and got them setup properly to my weight. Been out today to get a spoke key and straightened the rims. Bought the avid bleed kit and put new VW fluid in the brakes
Is a 2006 GT bike. Old now but still mint condition.

I decided to get a bike at the start of the year to get myself out & about and to give me something to do to help fitness etc.
Always hated Road bike etc and used to always be put on my MTB when I was younger, so decided to go down that route again.
Bought new and had a moderate budget, and picked up this Hardtail at the weekend - Giant ATX 27.5 1
Not amazing, not going to set the world alight, but a decent entry level bike to get me back into it.
Removed all the reflectors and the straps on the pedals - set the saddle.
Going to start easy and do some flat stuff along Bournemouth/Poole beach promenades - a good distance but not taxing, and then build it up from there. Not ridden for around 10yrs so starting easy!
From there I'll be good to get out in the New Forest and then ride the hills etc near home in the north of Dorset.

Definitely need a better mud flap on the back of my daily driver. Got absolutely soaked from spray from the back tyre on the way home tonight. I have an enduro guard and an ass saver, which saves none of my ass.

Went out for first ride out since the middle of November last year.
It was fucking horrible, but I discovered my new max heart rate which wasn't nice.
