Looks very clean, apart from rusty bumper screw, and I'm not sure they're the correct wheels? I thought these should have the alloys, but those wheel trims look like the 1.4 16v SRi's? Might be wrong.

I'd have blackened the door handles too.

Nice motor anyway.

I'd happily pay £1,000 for that, maybe even more.

That really does look in good nic

I thought that all came with the little 13/14inch three spoke alloys. Never seen one with trims.

Easy fix though

It's a nice, tidy example that. Someone will pay that for it, I don't think it's massively overpriced at all tbh.

One lady owner. So needs a new clutch, has random lipsticks all over the place and blood on the drivers seat?

I'd have bought that instead of my Clio 182 if it was around when I was looking. Assuming it would haggle down to 1600ish.

Nostalgia being 100% of the reasoning behind that.

Fairly audacious to call it an appreciating classic when they're already on the top of the curve.

Would look twenty times better with the right wheels as well.

Could also save 600 quid and opt instead for the highly desirable Astra 5 door in green - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281941121616

Novas yes, Corsas no is a silly argument, surely Corsas will become Novas so to speak.

Only time separates them. Or are Novas more desirable? I'd not have one, think they're shit. Also Novas did hit the bottom a few years back when Corsas were still strong. That doesn't mean Novas are always worth more?

Corsas in my opinion were just coming into the modern car generation age group, where no one really cares enough about them. For the same reason a Corsa D 1.4 will never become desirable, or a Skoda Fabia, or anything from this generation.

They are all just throw away cars in most peoples eyes.

A nova was just old enough to see the end of the era of classic cars.

All IMO though

You can say all that an include the Nova though, if you speak to any of the VBOA old men about Vivas they'll say Novas are new.

Ruby wax advertised the corsa. It was a girls shopping car. The only people who will pay lots for them are probably mostly on this forum and we wouldn't pay lots for them.

Is quite similar with corrados. Mk1 golf prices went mad. The mk2 is going the same way. Its when nostalgic owners get into their 40s that people pay more. Usually making the car about 25yrs old.

No proper car collector is ever going to fancy adding a corsa b to a collection.

It's a nostalgia thing though surely. Just people that used to have them will have fond memories and want another go.

That's it, I can't see anyone claiming a Corsa B is a wonderful car in any guise but I for one love mine for the nostalgia. I wanted a GSi when I was 13 and a guy who I used to deliver papers to had one, a great feeling opening the garage door and seeing it there

I passed in 95 so there were loads of brand new GSis about, hence that's where it comes from for me.

Probably someone who passed later will probably appreciate a C or a D more. Moreso the D because of the VXR because the C missed having a proper model.

I would think someone who passed in 2008 and wanted a VXR is going to want a VXR in 20 years.

I don't buy that because a VXR is newer now its any less of a hobby car when it gets to 15 years old.

They get more desirable as they get older, you get levels of it which is why Fords and VWs do better than Vauxhalls but the VXR certainly will not miss out.

Edit - just noticed you said D 1.4 in which case yes perhaps.

Also the Fabia - VRS is this generation's Renault 5 Turbo?
