Looking to get myself a DA polisher to sort my car out. Think I have decided on a DAS-6 PRO Dual Action Polishing Machine but unsure what to get to go with it.
Looking at the starter packs listed below

Or would I be better buying bits seperate?
If so what? 
For use on a GT86 if thats any help. Good condition paint just lots of swirls.

I'd get the menzerna intro kit, saves a bit of money, i bought the one that came with more pads and 4 bottles, but don't use all of it very often. At least you can try other products sooner, like lime prime on a pad as a quick detail/buff up.

Someone suggested lime prime.
Only thing putting me off the menzerna kit is its quite a strong cut suited to harder paints which mine is not.
Thought maybe the basic meguires kit with two pads and polishes would be better

Megs MF kit is the best result I've ever had or indeed seen from a DA kit in the hands of an amateur.

Also I do have a bottle of meguires super resin Polish if that would be any use.

E30 been off the road 8 years came up a treat...

If you have a detailingworld username you can get quite a nice discount on the DAS6 through cleanyourcar. Worth registering if you aren't already.

It wasnt as bad as it could have been as it was garaged most of that time but it was bad enough to consider getting it painted. He got a DA polisher instead and it brought it right back up.

AutoFinesse kit (I am biased) or the Menzerna Kit is easy to use.
Can't bear Rupes if you have a bigger budget.

I would look at buying Seperate and buy the Kockchemie starter bottles. 250ml I think they are. Such a good range of polishes and easy to work with. As mention the megs MF DA kit is really good and can get some good results. On some hard paints it can take a little longer though.
As for pads there is loades out there but chemical guys ones are what I use. Das 6 is ok. Have you looked at the pro version. That is what I have as a back up. The meguairs newer machine they were doing for about £200 the other week.
On detailing world under the tools section it has been covered a million times so can get a lot of opinions on there.

tbh they are all just an electric motor in a plastic housing, not much to them.
I'd just attach a dishcloth to an office fan and use that, 3 speeds and you can angle the head

All sounds a bit hipster the way they talk on detailing forums. Found some Auto Finesse gear which seems to be aimed at the amateur.

Rupes machines and products are some of the best. We also use every Swissvax product, some Autosmart stuff and some Autoglym stuff.
Buy shit you end up with shit.

Its not just a spinning disc though Steve.. A PROPER DA operates in a concentric motion, it doesn't just spin so there is less chance of burning the paint.

As above, a DA isn't just a motor spinning a disc, there is a concentric motion, the mechanism isn't massively complicated but it isn't just a motor and a shaft!
You can get cheap rotary polishers but you WILL fuck your paint.
