Went to a couple of pubs/bars last night, then went on to Slinky to see Eddie Halliwell and Judge Jules.

Was a damn good night, met up with some girl I haven't seen for a couple of years which was nice, then to top it off, while in Slinky, Eddie played 2 of my favourite tunes ever and the the place just went mental

Anyhoo, a couple of pics...

Random drunk old bloke who wanted to join in our photos

Random booze shot

Afore mentioned girl on left (Sarah) and her mate (Vicky)

Eddie in the mix

Eddie gurning for a piccy

They need to clean their Technics...

Judge Jules with some terrible trousers on Still a good set though

Spangly banner shot...

Unfortunately I made the mistake of dancing next to a very large set of speakers for about 4 hours and now I think I'm deaf Top night though

Sacrilige!:

When Julesy steps up to a mixer that big does he know what the hell all the faders and knobs do or does he just search for the 2 channels EQ and stick to the x-fader?

When I saw him at Progress they had to stop the music twice as the needle was jumping out of the groove because of the bass!

Wicked mate, highlight of the night for me Was a real pumping trance set, spot on mixing and a wee bit of scratching too

And he played Three Drives - Carrera 2 (Nu-Nrg Mix) and Fire & Ice - Lost Emotions and I nearly wet myself

I told him that later on too and he pissed himself

Mav - I've had a go on a identical mixer - looks dead confoosing at first

Fire & Ice - Lost EMotion - such a huge breakdown its well cool.

I'd love to hear him do a proper trance set. One I saw was pretty hard going, but luckily not wonka wonka!

I dusted my 1210's last night after I found out jsut how well Brainbug - Nightmare goes into Da Hool - Meet Her At The Love Parade (kettle drums + strings = sweet)

was he on the champagne?

Very much so, with cranberry juice as always

He'd been playing somewhere in Swansea beforehand so didn't start at Bristol til 2:30. Mixed well but was ahving a natter and he was slurring his words a bit

Have you got Virtual Turntables Trotty? worth getting it and a cheapo sound card if you like making set recordings from MP3's

I like the look of the CD decks - jog wheels does make life very easy - no jumping needles when cueing etc - but there not vinyl compatible are they - thats just not right imo!

Never heard him scratch or use 3 decks - whats that about? Must have been cool.
