Can someone answer me a question, lastnight I was flicking through a old mag and saw a Ecotec C20LET, was this less powerfull than the normal C20LET? And was it any difference.

Are you referring to the Z20LET (2.0 16v ECOTEC turbo) which is in the mk4 Astra Turbo, etc. ? If so, then yes they are less powerful than the older C20LET.

I am confused as you lot about this. My mates 95-M Calibra Turbo has the redtop (well its got a black top but has Vauxhall written on the spark plug cover), but Cavalier was also a M-plate but it had Ecotec written across it.

No, it looked like a C20LET as it had the plastic cover bit at the back of the engine with "Turbo" written on it.

My brother's old M reg Cavalier was a 2.0 16v ECOTEC, same as the ones used in the Astra/Vectra/etc... That engine was the X20XEV.
The turbo version of that engine (Z20 LET) looks the same as the X20XEV but has a black pipe thing going over the rocker cover to the exhaust manifold I think.

Ha ha, its ok Lee, i dont mind really. Give me practice anyway
Im hoping it to be running at about 150-155bhp. Anything over would be a bonus. Although, tbh, at the mo, im not worred about figures, its just sooooo much fun
Whole convesion cost me around £1500 in total. LM Styling (Lee Mitchell's company ) done ti for me. 1 week after work and at the weekend. Very smart as well. He's done a well tidy job, and i'd reccomend him to anyone!!!!!
