I love football especially my beloved Newcastle but the English national team id the most overated pile of piss in world football.

When was the last time we beat one of these shitty little no hoper teams convincingly?

People say england are full of world class talent, fair enough we have masses of potential but we are miles away from having a world class team. With the exception of maybes Beckham (even thats debatable) name one world class player in the squad.

Sorry about the rant lads but I felt it must be said.

wot about beating argentina less than a year ago. winning 'the group of death' and goin on to the quarter finals of the world cup, only to be beaten by brazil by a very lucky goal

Micheal Owen isn't even in the top ten strikers in the world.

Rio Ferdinand, overated, only looks good when he's got some good playing with him i.e. Sol & Woody. thats why he's looked shite at Man U cause Brown & Blanc are shite

I don't doubt Rooney will progress to become a great player if we look after him properly unlike we did with Owen.

owen hargreaves, steve macca play for 2 of the best clubs in the world - but of course as always 4 england they get played out of position.
