Unless you know what you want to buy from Halfords, don't bother asking anyone that works there for advice...

Said that on mine too. Just didnt bother using the rings that you were supposed to used, so my 17cm speakers fit in it.
Talking of speakers, anyone know the deepest speakers you can get in the front door using the autoload adaptors? Think mine are 45mm and there quite tight fitting, but maybe you could go deeper?

i agree halfords is only useful if you know what you want to get, otherwise the snotty fucking fuckos are there to try and help, I always look for the oldest guy there cause he might have half a clue where xyz is. Has anyone been to a helpful halfords?

Naively, I got them to fit my original headunit......and to quote the people who fitted the replacement (since I wouldn't let Halfords touch it, would rather pay someone to fit it since I got the original fitted free):
"Looks like whoever fitted this box-connector used a sledge-hammer."

AJ, I am working for Halfords and it's SHITE!!! Don't bother, you knly get about £4.35 an hour
Does anyone who has fitted 17 cm speakers to their front doors have a knocking problem with their doors when they shut 'em?

Do AA members get discount at Halfords then? We used to get discount at Halfords because my girlfriend works at Boots (ie. when Boots used to own Halfords).

Sam, yes I think AA workers still do get a discount but recentley Boots was bought out by some German company I think
You don't get much of a discount though, 15% isn't that much really if you just get loads of litle things (IE: polish, chrome dustcaps)
The adapters were for a corsa as they all have 13" speakers as standard and they allow you to fit 17" speakers
Bit of a squeeze but they'll fit eventually without hiting the window much
Hope this helps
