Goalkeeper is an extremely accurate weapon system for close-in defense of ships from high-speed missiles and aircraft. Continuous, automatic comparison is made of the signal/ noise ratios of the X and KA band returns to ensure uninterrupted tracking in a degraded environment. Goalkeeper is a joint effort of Hollandse Signaalapparaten B.V. of the Netherlands and General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products of the United States. Fully integrated, Goalkeeper combines a high-performance mount, gun, search and track radar and related computational electronics. Fifty-five Goalkeeper systems have been delivered to some of the world's most sophisticated navies, including the Royal Navy, the Royal Netherlands' Navy, the Korean Navy and others
