Nope, they are not supercharged.
Uk came with 2.0litre 16v, imports came with a turbo
Good cold air scoop for intercooler/ind kit/engine cooling.

looks like the air ducts on off road jeeps which go thru 3 feet of water!
theres on in bish almost identicle, has the top half sprayed black

i have seen a fair few of these air scoops on mr2's and the mr2 turbo's feeds straight down to the air box or induction kit. engine being in the back means this thing is very practical in my eyes

Yes its a scoop, goes down over the air box.
The landrover jobs are extended water tight airboxes with a filter on the top.

nah daimo i know they are 100% functional as an air scoop, they just remind me of the air tight ones found on jeeps for going in2 water
