Just watched the rest of the vids on that site, quote by the Civic Type R driver is quality "fast little bastard that VTS" LOL
My bro has a phase2 VTS and it still surprises me how quick it is for a 120bhp 1.6

My theory - Corsa driver is a poof Nahh, im not saying a decent engined Saxo/106 couldn't beat a 2.0litre corsa, but, 2.0litres have a lot more torque, and top end wise, the Corsa would pull away from the 1.6. (even if people do see 140mph in em, i've seen 140mph in my mums 1.6 16v Corrolla Doesn't mean i was doing it )
PS. Not had a Saxo keep up yet

Book speed of a Saxo 16v?? 127mph odd?
Book speed of an Astra GTE, 135mph odd + in a smaller lighter car (I.e Corsa).
Not gonna get into the same arguement with anyone again. I think the corsa would overall win, some of u think the saxo. Simple

Just under a tonne. Bought 970kg. I had extra weight in mine (16"s, heavy damn v6 brakes, heavier false floor, 1/2 tank of petrol etc).

so probably to 60 the VTS will be quicker. After that I would think the corsa would gradually pull away but would be close.

thats top end tho, and even then thats a good 5 mins with ur foot on the floor!!
a vts will pull ur pants down in lower gears and rape you round the twisties, and thats as standard!!!

Another thing is traction, even on 17's my GSI struggles for traction (only a 1.6 not 2.0) where as my bro on standard 15's just grips and launches.
