If a police man is on his own, you can argue the charges cos its his word against yours, but 99% they are in pairs, I would like to try it though, always need evidence to prosecute, a witness is evidence, no witness no evidence

i got pulled over for speeding a while back, the thing is it dont matter how many police officers their are in the car, its all about the proof/evidence to say you were speeding like those speed detecting guns they carry?? if they had the proof i reckon thiers good chance they will do you for it? otherwise let you of with a warning.
well thats what i think anyway, correct me if you think im wrong?
but mate doing 96mph in a 40mph zone is fcuckin jus asking for it!!!
anyways how long do POINTS stay on your licence, or does it depend how many and what you got them for???

If you contest a charge it may go to court and you will look stupid if they then produce evidence such as video footage. You will end up with a bigger fine & costs. So don't contest it unless you're sure they haven't got proof.

CorsaLad16v, he probably didnt let you off because he was on his own, he probably let you off because he knew he couldnt prove it, could see you were speeding but couldnt prove it.
Have you tried asking for the calibration reports, if the camera hasn't been calibrated that day then you can contest its accuracy and should get let off if the camera hasnt been calibrated that day.

I can understand speeding, I will admit I do it myself, but never to that extent.
40 in a 30
50 in a 40
I'll admit to that, but only when its quiet.
96 in a 30 is just something that fucking morons do and deserve to be baned for.
Edit = Helps if I spell properly

Just to clear up- standard police bobbys can only arrest you if they are wearing their FULL uniform ie. hats etc.....
If they aren't, they are not abiding by their "code of duty" and are therefore not officially "on duty".
However, some higher ranked policemen have a separate code to abide by which they can be wearing just casuals- as long as they have their "ID", they can arrest anyone

Mate, you are wrong with the above statement.
Case scenario...a policeman is chasing a criminal through crowded streets etc, just as he's about to nab him, his helmet falls off. Are you saying the copper has to stop and let the crook get away while he retrieves his helmet?
It must be great on hot summer days when the police are on shirtsleeve order, they can't arrest anyone until they put their jacket on
