mostly standard on turbo cars. reduce lag between gear chacnes and quiten the effect of wastegate chatter. atmos ones make a noise and increase lag between gear changes.

Vibrio... your turbo car does not react in the same way as other cars so please stop telling people not to get them as they do not compromise power on all cars, on the rx7 they are very good for it on the standard turbos.

lets see atmos valves release the air into the atmospher out of the inlet. thurb takes time to spool up and fill inlet with air again. recirc dumps it back into inlet which therefore does not require do much air to refill. sorry but what they difference does it make what car it goes on. and atmospheric removes the air the recirc does not. any fool can see which one is going to give better performance

i heard that they can lose u power and when the diaphram starts to go itll piss oil all ova the engine?
i dunno
coz i dont know much bout turbo's but i have heard from alot ov ppl that they lose u power

yea it releases air back into it, but this is not always a good thing, as it creates more stress on the turbo's and my car has no difference with or without an atmospheric. so be quiet vibrio, not all cars are shit like yours.

Personally,there is no noticeable difference on mine with either so it would come down to personal taste as to whether you want an atmospheric or recirc.

If you feel its quicker then thats fair enough. If i had noticed a difference then id have gone back to recirc, but as yet ive got no complaints. It is different from car to car.

Can I just say vibrio is not a technical expert when it comes to engines, he's about as qualified to say dump valves are dangerous as a ripspeed specialist is to say, I can change a lightbulb.

Vibs actually knows a lot more than other ppl, he has given me some good advice for my audi which has then been backed up by a few other audi owners. Ive got no complaints with his knowledge

i know that turbos use ehaust gasses to turn a turbine "turbo" whitch compesses the air and it goes throu a charge cooler
so to make the air more dense that then goes into the inlet with fuel air mixture
with the dense air raises compression thus a bigger bang in the cylider so it has more power.
yes theres probly flaws in my explanation but i have a rough idea
as for dump valves they vent the excess compressed"charge" air that is not needed when the throttle is closed or on gear change.
