in this pic we can see the amount of roll a corsa has when trying to corner quickly...this underlines the shoddy handling they have

Porridge springs to mind

No, try standard shox, and normal -35mm lowering srpings and a 2.0litre engine.

So the amount of roll is quite justified i think considering the current suspension.

The focus ST170 that was in front of me for a few laps rolled a damn site more

Stop nit picking. Go take your car on track and get some photos so we can slag yours off?

Yes, standard shocks and 2.0 16v are not good.

I thought it was handling quite well around the track, with a decent set of coilovers it would be even better.

I feel no need to satisfy a boy racer instinct by taking my car onto a track...

Well, in that case, you should be driving a standard small engined car.

theres nothing Boy Racer about taking you car onto a track at all??? Quite the opposite actaully

I would have to agree that with the current suspension setup a reaction like that at speed is quite acceptable, definatly expected.

Also how the hell can taking a car on a track be boy racer'ish??? I would stick with Daimo and say it is the complete oposite, at least he is ragging his car in the right place, a boy racer would be doing the same but round town in a shit box nova or something.

That amount of roll on the front isn't a problem in isolation. Its bad here as Daimo has no LSD so the inside wheel is liable to loose traction but the diff and some toe out would sort that.

Difficult to see from that pic as well but the back looks tucked nicely, bit of camber on the back wheels and that'd be a nice stance

I suspect that although it sits nice in the bend, its difficult to get power back on early and turn in won't be sharp with standard dampers.

Its suprising how well the back end sticks. I soley think this is due to the false floor. Its 1" MDF and theres a bloody lot of it. Its a bloody heavy floor, but, it does keep the arse end down.

Understear was pretty bad, but as i mentioned in a post the other day, teh tyres i've got on the front really didn't help.

LSD< mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

a nice shot of brooklands there...

I basically sat in the grand stand around there for ages! saw the two sweeping lefts and then the hairpin before the right onto the main straight!

Great to watch!

Daimo - either proper tyres on the front or replace the rear anti-roll bar with a stiffer one.
