As a new driver you are allowed 6 points, now I thought that meant that you were allowed to have 6 points (as in 2 speeding offences @ 3 points each) but then if you were to get 7 upwards then you would loose your licence and have to retake your test and all that.

Am I right??

Anyone know for certain??

Just worried because I think I may have been caught again, doing about 34-35 just rolling down a hill on a different stretch on the same road as I got caught about 2 week back.

Pissing me off now, I hope I aint been caught but I saw the camera out the back of a van, slowed down to dead on 30 but I think I may have been too late.

Hate to think what the guy in front of me was like though he must have been doing about 50+ because he was disapearing from me, I just couldnt be bothered, thought I would be sensible but I still manage to be an unlucky fucker.

Your joking, come on you have to be.

I cant hack it any more, its not like I drive dangerously or anything. I was following the flow of traffic, not hammering it, just cruising along, the car in front nailed off and I left him to it, but because of the space I let it roll.

Not sure if I actually was speeding, but the marker on my speedo was on the second bar up after 30. Indicating around 35mph I would say, but I dont know which part of the road he was looking at, I kept my speed at 30 all the way down the hill nearly, then sped up a little and slowed back down again because I noticed, and I just have the feeling that the way my luck is going at the moment I will have been caught on the 50m or so that I was over the limit.

SHIT SHIT SHIT. Really can't cope with the way my life is going any more, shit just keeps on copming.

yeah i think its revoked on the second offence, but in some cases i have been told that if you get a good lawyer/solicotor whatever it is possible to keep your license if you can prove you may loose your job if you dont have its use

Yes, 6 points and thats it. So that means on ur second offence, if u get convicted, then u gotta re do all ur license again.

And at the end of the day, THERE ARE NO EXCUSES.

I been driving 2 years now (since 17), often behind the wheel of cars that are capable of 130mph+, 0-60 in under 9secs etc.....and it looks like my first 3 points are comin soon, all because.......i went thru a red light coz i was late for work

sorry son, but in 99% of cases, its driver error. U may say "yeah, but blah blah blah"........but i'm afraid its tough luck.

Its annoying though, I would swear on my mums life that I would only have broke the limit for a matter of seconds, took my eye off the speedo (well you cant sit looking at the speedo all the time now can you) and then when I looked back about 3 seconds later I realised my speed had gone up to about 35 so I put my brakes on and slowed down, then a bit futher down the road I noticed a camera van, dont know which bit of the road it was looking at, dunno if I got caught or not, I hope bloody not.

Its daft really, caught twice in about 1-2 weeks both on a hill, both in a 30 zone, both doing around 35-37, both because I didnt want to sit on my brakes all the way down and both because I dont see it as safe to sit starring at your speedo to make sure your doing the limit.
