it moved-then didnt the revs dipped but i wasnt loookin at them so dont know what to
then picked up again and went like normal
also seems to have flat spots all ova the place
there nothing wrong with the ignition system i think. plugs leads etc all new less than a year old
ideas pls
coz normally that junction is busy and if it had done that in daytime i fear an accident may have occoured

could be throttle position switch, I have a brand new one matey from vauxhalls if it fits your engine (ring and ask) we can test it and see if that's what it is, if it is you can have it for a tenner ( i paid £27)

yes the 1.4 8v spi
has bosh super 4 plugs
splitfire leads
new dizzy cap + rotor arm
all of the above have about 3k on them
free flow panel filter
and extra cold air feed to airbox
the only thing i can think of is inlet maifold leaking or my back box is getting on a bit

the dizzy itself can be a problem, but a few things to check/try...
Remove the RON Plug, give the connections a good clean & refit it.
There is a small box thing near the Coolant tank (there is a 3-pin connector & also a tube from the inlet manifold connected to it), try checking the pipe for blockages & also again check the connection.
Check the 2 negative connections next to the timing belt cover on the camshaft housing.
The terminals on the ignition coils & amplifier on mine became gunked up once, causing me to stall on the M6 once, could have a go at seeing how dirty they are & clean if necesary (can be a bit fiddly to remove)
Also check the breather hose going from the cam housing to the inlet, it can become clogged with grime & also if there is a little too much oil, or the engine is ragged like a bitch, oil can be blown through the inlet manifold, so a bit of WD40 & a paper-towel does wonders cleaning it all up!
