Do you think anyone would notice if I swapped my standard C14SE from the Astra for that C14SE engine?

If I paid for a 'rally spec' engine, I'd expect more power than that. Waste of £ to be honest.

Its a 1400 class you twat. Having a 16v engine puts you up a class against the 1600 8v's.

I don't care. I never said anything about 16v engines or whatever. Either way, for a race engine I would want more than a 105hp/litre.

Race/Rally cars are all about power to weight ratios. You can have all the BHP in the world mate and it wouldnt make a difference if you had a brick of a car.

For a 1400 8v that is a quick engine and its class is one of the most competitive classes in Britain.

No offence mate, but you wouldnt stand a chance in it. Dont knock it till you've seen it ok?

l33t, STFU, that's the same bhp as a 2.0 16v, that's 600cc and 8v less !!!!!!!

You can hardly knock a 300% increase over sandard

Im sure your a very good driver mate, but the standard you'd have to be to take on these boys in their cars would have to be extremely high.

Very few people can take a car like the Corsa mentioned above to the very limit, nevermind beating much larger engined cars like GMC can.

A 300% increase would be over 200hp would it not.

A civic b16a gives better figures for only 200cc more, and that's road trim, not race. It may be a large increase, but it's still only 148hp.
