Maxpower are doing a thingy:
"Modified car club of the year"
They will do a 2 pager on the club that wins. heres the general gist of it.
They need to know:
Name and contact details of the club and the number of members.
Details of the 10 best cars on that club.
Membership costs.
Events and shows that are organised for club members.
Website info.
Any technical advice, modifying help and discounts offered to members.
Finally a breif letter telling maxpower why we are the best.
What does everyone think of this then???

yes, i was offered a 5% discount from some insurance company coz i was a member....snowy, said a bout it tday, reckon we'd win, coz we are all cool! and do cool stuff, like go to alton towers....

I thought we were a club. We do have meets etc... Thats kinda what clubs do. As well as stands at most of the events throughout the year.

Too true mate. BUT there is also the 200+ club. Scooby owners etc etc... There are a fare few to contend with.
Still i think we stand a good chance really. to CS

Would you be interested in writing up an "action plan" for this. I know we dont have our own shows/events but we do attend most of them out there. Plus we do RR days, sound off's, Trackdays etc etc.

why are we the best.......free basic membership, helpful advise on modifying and tunning etc (not judging by some of the threads tnight  ) we do stuff outside of the modified car scene, eg tdays trip, we get discounts on insurance and parts etc, you dont have to own a corsa to be a member (important i think, some forums tell people to gtf if they aint got the right car) ill think of more later

I do have issues. Like winning at being advertised in that jazz mag. Plus I think there are other clubs who can put a more convincing case together. I don't really do the whole marketing trumpet thing.

If they want official involvement and to see who can shout the loudest, no.
If they want to register, hang around and make an objective judgement, yes.
