Picture it, its a cold September morning, i can see my breath in the air i press the button for my Clifford and the door opens. i secure myself into the cockpit and ready myself.

As i turn the ignition the monster 1.2 8V engine fires up on all its 4 cylinders and i low exaust tone rumbles as i put it into gear.

I turn out of my road and down to the traffic lights, as i see my oppotunity to test out my new Pipercross induction kit, there stands alone a Milkfloat.............

I pull up next to him and blip the throttle, we make eye contact and nod. We both wait for that green light.

RED
ORANGE
GREEN......................GO GO GO

The race is on.....

As we both slam push our vechicles to their limits, he has the edge on me. As we are nearing an 'S' bend i knock it into 2nd and burry the excelerator we are now neck and neck. I can see the 2nd set of traffic lights in the distance still on green, i think im gonna make it. BANG into 3rd and the Milkfloat is slowly lagging behind. I hit 4,000 revs and the milkfloat is nowhere to be seen.

The lights are starting to change, suddenly the milkfloat has shed a few crates from the back and he is flying, he undertakes me at an alarming rate, the lights change to RED and the milkfloat has made it through, i however had to stamp on the brakes.

MAYBE NEXT TIME........

It was a very close race though....

i think i might do better next time......
