Ok in regards to my previous post a couple of weeks ago...
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=91884
...about what amps will power what exactly- I'm still confused, now I've spoken to a few other people about my planned setup-I don’t really think it will work!
I am planning on getting *hopefully* Diamond Audio M661 and M641 components BOTH for the front doorbuilds. But I don’t really want too many amps tbh as I will have two already for the subs, but obviously the components will need amplification of some sort
So… is there ONE amp made by Diamond Audio that will power both sets of components?? The amps (from ANY range btw) can be found here:
http://www.diamondaudio.com/MobileAudio/index.cfm?page=Amplifiers
And the speakers can be found here:
http://www.diamondaudio.com/MobileAudio/index.cfm?page=Speakers
Or will I just have to accept the fact that I’ll need another two amps??
Thankyou for any help whatsoever!

right what have you got so far,
sorry i havent been following you,
Im going to be getting a Diamond D5 600.2 to run my front comps,
but then you wont need all that if you onlu intend to have M6's
I would get the 600.4
then each side will have 300rms each,
this would be more then enough for what your wanting,
What other stuff is going in your install? Whos doing it, and give me some prices on what you are going to get,
Im going to be finishin mine soon,
hmm but not M6's
TDX muhahah

Right-what I have got so far:
*Two M612D2 subs, each powered by a
*D5 1200.1 amps
and that's it so far fella!
Also, to power both sets of comps in the front I was *looking* at the D7104 amp, but it doesn't match the rest of the install and put me off really!
mmm TDX! They wanted to give me them instead of the M6's but they wouldn't match the interior either, so asked for the M6's and D5 amps because the silver/chrome would look better IMO anyway!

ermm you have two 1200.1
personally i think that is a bit much,
Where i got my TDX from they rub two M6 12D2s off a single 1200.1,
Im planning on running a single 1200.1 for my TDX

it depends on the design your going for also,
Two amps would look smart either side, with the mono in middle or somthing,
you could always get two 300.2s
but will be cheaper to get a 600.4
Hope this helps
also i added ya onto msn,
if ya want anymore help

Aww cheers for ur help PainZ u've helped me put a lot of things into perspective and make sence!
Dell from Millenium Audio has also told me about this new 8" three way speaker (it's called Euridiam *sp* [made by DLS]) which he thinks would go better in my car instead of the 6 and 4 comps, so now I don't what to go for!
You're right (IMO anyway) about the 1200.1 I thought one would power both as well and still sound nice-if I have two then it'd ruin the sound, but *apparently* not....
Anyway, cheers for ur help fella-VERY appreciated!

HEhe no probs
Yes the new DLS 3 ways do indeed look very tasty, and you will defently get a better sound from them rather then having two sets of comps in each doors,
I would go for the DLS 3 ways personally,
I know it might not look quite impressive as two sets of comps in each door, but i can asure you it will sound alot better!!
I would recommend getting the 600.2 to run them mind

There is a slight "problem" with the Diamond comps.... this is what my ICE shop (The Sound Gallery) told me.
They are for pure music people. They reconstruct the sound a little too good, and thusly ruin it. They are too crisp and too clear for their own good.
Some people like this others dont. just thought i would warn you

To be honist Jill,
everyone likes differnt sounds, and everyone needs to define what makes a good speaker,
You wouldnt buy a car before you test drive one, so i certainly would not spend 500+ on a set of comps without hearing them first,
But be warned,
If they set speakers for you to listen to in the shop, they may sound very different once installed in the car
You really need to hear speakers before you can decide whats best

I take it your having fibreglassed boot and doors? or are you having kicks done ?
I would get kicks, as you will get a better sound stage from this,
put the bigger mid in the door and the small mid and tweeter in the kicks
just an idea

Have you thought about Focal speakers,
Im going to be getting the New Focal K2 3 Ways
These are world regonised for pure brillance!
And personally i think they sound better then the Focal top of the line Utopias
I think utopias are a bit tinny, often a bit harsh,
I would forget DLS and Diamond and get focals,
but thats me
