Well for a decent head unit your taking about £200+ depends on what you featurs you want. Get some good components for the front, £100 and a sub and amp package is going to set you back about £300. Really depends on what your after but this is a rough price for a entry level system. Some people will tell you to buy a system for not less than £1500 but you have to start some where

I guess if I get the head unit and some decent 6x9s then I can add the other stuff later can't I?
Do you know what the Sony head unit is called. Its got no buttons on the actual unit, just a display and a remote control...

Yeah if you get a decent head unit it will have a good output so you could just connect some 6 x 9's. Check out the JBL ones, there was one site doing them for £45. Cant go wrong at that price. If you can afford a bit more go for some components as well, they make all the difference. Again JBL do some in there GTO range for about £80 and are excellent quality.
Not sure what the head unit is called sorry

Thank you Pete, I would appreciate it
I haven't really got a budget I will just buy bits at a time but I could do with knowing what to get. I like that head unit though but it might be oldish now.
Also, my rear speakers were fudged the day I bought the car... did anyone else find this

Some do not have rear speakers, have you checked to see if they are actually there?
As far as your first upgrade is concerned i would say front speakers, then 6x9's.
Front speakers, Infinity Coaxials are brilliant.
6x9'S, Infinity or Audiobahn, but they would both benefit from having an external amplifier behind them.

Once you have bought the unit yes.
Unfortunatly Shelly i would really think about buying that unit, due to the fact that it isnt a face off unit. They are targeted units for stealing, and just need decoding if they are stolen, not a big job to most.

What about a Kenwood Mask?
Can I get a face plate from Vauxhall?

You would need the facia adapter as yes you can get them from Vaux.
Kenwood masks are but are a bugger if you loose the fobs ect

The headunit you posted does come with a face off panel as i used to have the headunit, it was a really nice unit but is only controllable from remote or stalk and can become annoying abit and if the remote is cold it doesnt work very well, well thats what i found anyway

doesnt actually look like the subs + 6x9's are in the same box if u look along the bottom side off the box top the box seems to come down, and cut off from the rest of the build
