I'm well aware of that fact... i have a few amps which i think will be up to the job... what i what is an expert opinion other than my own...

most of the manufactures you've said are not up to the job in hand...

were talking 1300 watts RMS here... Serious power...

Thank you for your support anyway..

1300RMS at 2 ohms, or 2x 650RMS at 4ohms, isnt gonna be a cheap amp and gonna be a shitter to get!

Only thing i can think of is the Rockford Fosgate Power 1501BD which throws out 1500wRMS at 2 ohms.

Price tag of about £700 though

One Sub = 1300 watts @ ?? ohms

not sure what the rating was taken at.. audiobahn don't give the rating but i'm asumming 1300 @ 2ohm.

Ummmm.... Looking at around £400-500 Tops.. mono class D and all that malarky...

had enough of pussy footing around with 2 12" subs... just want one seriously thumping SQ sub... and i can pick one of these up for $335 US dollars including shipping costs.. Around £200 in our money..

Its a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub its gonna be a right bugger to find one sensibly priced for 1300RMS at 2 ohms...

They are about... but not in this country... i'm gonna import from the states... much cheaper, but more hassle..

If you can put up with all the shite of ordering and getting the stuff through customs, its more than worth it.. and of course theres the import duty costs on top as well... you get a nice large bill after about 5-7 days from Fed-Ex..

Last time i ordered i saved around £250!! can't be bad...

Aye i import stuff from Hong Kong quite frequently, much much cheaper. Bought my headunit from the states and saved £200 on the UK retail with no customs charge.

If ur gonna buy from the US, try and get the Audiobahn A18001DT with it, would be brilliant for it. 1200RMS at 2 ohms.

Cheapest ive found it for so far is $500

Was think of using Audiobahn amps, but most of the reviews i've read on them don't rate them that much...

i'm a bit dubious of buying something which is more money and hasn't got all the balls... that's why i'm looking at other amps...

Trouble is i don't know anyone who has had audiobahn kit installed... and most shops i've been to don't have a clue... but thier more than willing to sell me something i don't want...

Thats shops for you

At the end of the day mate you cant really go on reviews unless they are known for breaking down.

As TOMAS says, the install is 90%, most people skimp so many corners therefore not getting the power from the amp.

IMO Audiobahn is genuine stuff, a smart car up here is kitted out with it and tuned for SQ and it sounds amazing.

Point taken, Reviews can be missleading... doesn't help when you don't know anyone with any audiobhan kit..

I agree with you 100% it's all in the install...

Most my m8's have spent 1000's on there system's, and they still can't get over how good my budget system was and still is...

Just what to take it a step further now... from being good too F**KIN amazing..

well theres a wee genesis mini block on ebay!!

only 102quid on it an no reserve, these are 600 new, rated at 650W rms at 1 ohm i fink but generally push 650 - 700, if u picked it up for bout 200 it'd be a steal!!

http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&query=genesis+&categoryid=&ebaytag1code=3&ht=1&st=2&category2=14930&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&shortcut=2&from=R2&catref=C3
