Well its been an absolute bastard of a night, the corsa is ver ver fooked. Had to go to the petrol station, and as tim was turning out of the station to get on the road, clunk! Right hand side of the car dropped down.

Got outside, the front right wheel had found a new home right up in the fooking arch! Got a torch, looked under the car, the ball joint had snapped out! The bolt had sheared in half! To make matters worse, the drive shaft has also come out of the gearbox! So even as we speak the car is still stuck in the middle of the exit for the BP garage.

Heres what the wheel should look like:

AA have been 3 times, first lorry had no tools, the next two wouldnt consider moving the car without damaging the bodywork. So now we are waiting on a specialist flatbed lorry with a damage free kit so they wont fuck up the bodywork.

This is what the fooked one is like at the moment, we managed to get support for the car and move it:

To say the least, Timmeh is very unhappeh, but glad it didnt happen while he was doing a higher speed!

Was it a kurb or sumat u went over?

Coz for a ball joint to "shear off" whilst driving normally is very very dodgy. I aint ever heard of anything like that happening before.

Matt

PS: the fact u have a large one piece custom bodykit isnt gona help matters when things like this happen. I told u so when u were gettin all the work done. I believe that flip colour paint cant be touched up? Therefore, if you were to properly repair the cracks, you'll need say, the whole front resprayed at least?

Jesus christ, it was on full lock coming out of a garage, no kerb or nothing.

And so for you saying you've never heard of it happening before, a guy called Pete up here has also had it happen to him.

And as far as the kit is concerned if you were to do your research you would see it is not a flip paint, all it is is little crystals sprayed on black, which can be touched up. The reason why it was left as a one piece kit is that the bodyshop doing the work had forgotten about that and he'd already begun spraying, therefore it would have taken more time to get it corrected. Hydraulics are on the way so it will sort any future problems out.

And another good thing is that the cracks are in pretty much un-noticable places.

So dont be rolling eyes at me, i found it extremley strange too but it happened and its scared the shit out of me to think what could have happened if it was moving at 15mph +.

Some people really fckin annoy me
