what size wheels?

i'm sure that 17's with a offset of et45 will fit better than et49's on the C.

In a 17" wheel with 205 tyres, ET45 is going to be a better fit than ET49.

The main benefit of ET49 above other offsets isn't arch clearance, it's keeping the geometry in line with Vauxhall's tolerances.

Arch clearance is a cosmetic thing and just a guideline - it all goes out of the window when you lower the car anyway.

sri isnt lowered that much (15mm i thikn it is).

Drop ur car 30/40 mm on et40 and i am sure u will get sum scrubbing.

ET45 is probably the best fit in a 17" wheel if you're lowering the car.

My 1.8 SRi is on 7x17 Kosei Doble Racers ET38 - No problem. I had originally tried ET48 but they wouldn't go over the calipers.

my et 49s go over the calipers sayin that i cant put th erear wheels on the front as they are abit diff and they scrub in the calipers

hmm this is all v intresting

the wheels i want are et49

so i think ilel get the et49s, then after trail fitting them, if they catch ille get spacers to move them out just enough.

if i get a lesser offset than 49. i.e. 42, the offset might be too much that it will catch the outer arches, and then the only option is to have them machined down

depends on how the wheels are made! my speedlines on the font wheels sitagainst the hub and then taper off at an angel missing the caliper! were as the rar wheels come off the hub square and wud catch on calipers as i found out when i first got them?

anything between 42 and 49 is fine even when lowered! wudnt go lower! so if u get ur 49s then small spacers could be used if need probably wont if they are good wheels which technos are!

my mate just took delivery on his brand new speeline alessios 2day, so i think ille go borrow one to see what the caliper clearance out.

with the technos, my choice is 49mm or somehitng like 38 i think. so 49 it is

You can run ET20 wheels if you rip the arches out, but the car will handle like a bag o shit.

Depends if you're more interested in having a car with bling rims or one that handles well and is controlled (as controlled as it can be) if you get a blow out.

i have et40 and the other week i had 3 in the back and a boot full of luggage on the way to the airport they are 17" and sat right in the arches and didn't scrub once
