Recorded an albums worth off Kazaa today, went out for a drive to listen to it on a decent system......Im quite happily cruising along pumping tunes when i get the loudest schreeching noise ever heard by mankind blasting out at 1200watts....i naturally shit myself thinking a plane was coming down or something, nearly veered off the road- couple of tracks later the same thing happens on another track.
Apparantly this is record companies flooding internet with shit copies to stop sharing- Bastards- It probably works on a little portable stereo, but on a decent system its going to give someone a heart attack

Two solutions:
Test the tunes after you download.
Don't download copyright material.

Even though I download everything I need music, film etc wise, I have to say "What do you expect??"
The record companies have to try something, before long there will be file scanners out that will find these before you download them, but until then just verify everything you download.
Like I say I download everything I need, I haven't paid for any music or software for 4 years, but with the record companies doing this you just need to a be a bit more careful for a bit.

I only use Kazaa to test albums before i buy- Would rather have the actual case to keep, and a decent recording- I spend about £60 a week on music and you start to get a little sick of buying crap

Or a better idea use iMESH instesd of kazza, you can preview the song as its downloading so you can check if it ok or not, saves you havin to wait ages, not that i'm helping you to break the law

In Kazaa Lite you can preview too, and iMesh has an unreal amount of spyware and shit, dont trust it.

fook off ya cheeky bastard- I take it you mean why dont i just listen on my pc?......because it sounds like someone is playing it down the phone to me, rather than taking 15 mins to put it on a cd and listen to it on a decent stereo

get winMX mate (designed for music), ive yet to download a dodgy track off it...although you do get some dodgy sound quality ones, but if its a popular track you get decent quality mp3's off it mate

This is what I use. I can't say I've ever not been able to get a song I've looked for. It even has the weird shit my dad listend to!
I think this screech idea is an excellent solution to piracy by record companies tho, gotta hand it to them!

It has all the Indie, Rock and R'n'B I look for.
I'm always the last to know things anyway so by the time I find out about rare tracks they've usually already entered the charts

but when u download albums off bittorrent it seems each song is ripped from a different source to the next song in the folder.
and probably different bit rates as well.
