PMSL gotta laugh at the tin can comments, yes they are light cars but they aint any lighter than say a nova which is very bad for rotting and aint the safest car but most people on here think there the best car about.

exactley eck, including 99% of saxo/106 owners who jump from a corsa to a saxo etc and then think that all the matters in life is going round corners and nothing ever will ever compleat with there car, regardless of opinions for people who have driven both of them, or what the person wanting the car actually wants from it

TBH jr I was just wanting something newer and just as quick sa my old XE gsi, the very good handling is just a big bonus imo plus the tuning capabilities of the gti engine are extremly good for not alot of money and the gti is much easier to sell

Some good debate here lol hope no ones wanting to kill anyone else over it

Im not a traffic light racer & I think the polo will be more suited to me, ive drove a saxo VTS before (thought it was ok, bit buzzy & boyracerish maybe but it had a exhaust & ind kit) but never drove a polo so I think thats what im going to do - get a shot & see what I think.

Polo - 45
Pug - 20

Seems to be victory for the polo but most of the arguement has been for the pug

ffs, some people a re a joke. dont even know what a fast car is and claim a boy racers car park warrior car to be fast,

comparable to cars that you would match up against the 106, a 106 is quick. its quick up the strip for a stardard car, as said xe's often tow to get same times, and it would certainly teach said car around a track thats for definate.
Dunno which i'd pic, i like both options both for differnt reasons, 106gti as its an aimmense little car, from a driving point of view, then polo for style as in a bit off vw styling. I think however in most cars i'd get neither and go for a 306 gti-6 or rallye if plumping for the pug or a golf if plumping for the vw side.
