UPDATE: 17th September 2007

Been working on the car today again.

So, we got the front doors built and re-fitted, complete with perspex windows:

Wood is a temporary measure!!!!

Prepped and primed the bumpers, arches and handles ready for the RED paint.................possibly!!

But then, decided to paint them all white, and I think it looks rather good!

Opinions???

Bonnet came with the car, and the fibreglass bootlid and rear spoiler came from Pro Tec Motorsport.

Ran quite a thick bead of clear sealant in the seal itself then pushed the window up into the seal. Did exactly the same on my nova and had no problems at all

I will be putting mesh under the holes in the bonnet, plus I run with filters on the carbs! Again, had no problem at all in the Nova with water.

I know what you mean about the mirrors! They look a bit.......... big i suppose! I might be getting either DTM cup mirrors or the little rectangular ones, but i'll probably leave the passenger one off anyway! Don't need it. and its more weight!!

The graphics will be the sponsors..............when i find some!!!

Neil, the Golf is great! Miss my old Audi though but it wasn't friendly on my bank account!! So the Nova is still going then?! Has it got a Turbo lump in it now? I think the chap had that in mind. Don't suppose you took any photo's of it, wouldn't mind seeing it? You at Combe this Saturday for RallyDay?

Looking very good maybe to good?

Dont build anything you will cry over when its upside down in a ditch

Your car is how i wanted to do mine but ended up doing a quicker build and adding as i go.
I'm thinking about starting a shell ready for me and the ditch having a chat

Now that is a trip down memory lane!! That photo is a good one actually. Not too keen on the new guise. Is it running a LET Neil, or couldn't you tell? Still remember doing my 9minute 29second lap of the Ring!! Hopefully taking the Corsa next year
