England are paying the price for rushing Sven out and going for a second choice manager.

The FA should "get their man" who ever that might be (im keeping quiet on who i think "should" be manager) Thr fact of the matter is that this should be the pinnacle job of Football in this country.

On paper we argueably have one of the best teams in the world i think anyway - but they just dont perform, which is the sign of champions. Im under no illison that we might not qualify which will do our rankings no favours.

At the moment - England talking purely from a creative persective are a one man team GERRARD. Without him we would have had nothing last night to be honest.

My view anyway.
Its interesting to see what happens next, when you read between the lines of the tabloid and propaganda rubbish.

nothing will happen next...thats the problem!

Mac will be in charge at the next game, and will be aslong as we qualify...even if we only just make it through.

Gerrard will be pushed back onto the right for the next game.

He will still insist on playing 4 at the back against poor teams when it isnt needed.

We will still play shite football.

I dont mean weeks - i mean over a period of time.
Yep we are playing very poor. Agree with that.
Something needs to be done now.

I do feel for Gerrard i really do to be honest. Shining star in a murky water.

You have to play with your strengths.... I have views on how i would play but its untried and would cost us any chance we have of maybe getting there next year

This is why he should be sacked

"What I say to the fans is stick with the players, they are giving it their all and they are out there doing it" said McClaren.

That game yesterday was screaming out for a 3-4-1-2 formation....

Should have been....

Robinson

Rio Terry Carra

Lennon Hargeaves Carrick Barry

Gerrard

Rooney Johnson

Or something along those lines...they only had 1 attacker who was shite...and half the time he spent defending...we could have afforded to lose 1 defender...

It was plain to see...what is scary is that McCock couldnt see this and stuck with the 4 man defence when it clearly wasnt needed...only when Dyer come on for Richards did we see the mights Andorra start to be put under pressure...

For me:-

Robinson

Richards Terry Cole

Lennon Gerrard Lampard Dyer

Johnson Ronney Defoe

We didnt need a holding midfielder last night - Balls out attack Terry would cope with any threat im sure.

Plant Gerrard and Lampard in the middle give them free reign and watched the fireworks.

Thank god you arent the manager, Id rather have Macs team!!

Playing 3 at the back needs 3 proper defenders, Richards and Cole would go forward too much and leave 1 at the back!

Gerrard and Lampard in the middle means no holding middle man, which either means no help for the back 3 (1?!) or Gerrard having to sit like under Sven and ruin his game.

Think about it Cosmo? How many times did the ball actually enter Englands half?? In all seriousness.

Richards and Cole whilst attacking are compentant defenders plus the urge to get forward would be dampened by have two very attacking wingers in front.

Im talking game specific here of course... i dont think that would have done any harm last night.

but if your going to keep Richards and Cole back somewhat then you may aswell have Rio and Carra there. As although they were shocking going forward, just 1 'proper' defender wouldnt be enough if they did decide to have a few attacks.

Why the fuck is Dyer in the squad??

I hope after nugent, people like lita, bentley, walcott etc will get there chances, when watching the under 21's there seems to be more flair and passion.

only people i was inpressed with were gerrard and lennon, except lennons crossing was shocking!

Thought Dyer did ok when he came on. The subs actually showed some passion and desire which is why we got 3 goals.

But England managers pick people beacuse of their names unfortunately.

And to here that Fat Frank on being left out wanted to leave straight away sums up what a shit attitude hes got. He should have wanted to be their to cheer on his teammates
