Some of the very first M3s off the line, like that one colins just posted up, were Demos for dealers. They had every option going for the E46 M3.

Plus I think I'd feel ashamed having it sat in the drive next to a CLS AMG, and possibly an M6 if he goes and buys one of them too.
Mmm purple M6 with the maroon leather pls

Dont be a poof

It'll be black on black like all his other cars, and at a push he may go for a maroon leather with black paint if I really persuade him

Cosmo stop bragging and being such a snob, as if your m3 will look 'shit' no matter what is parked next to Who's gonna be on your drive checking if you've got a tv ion your m3!

Col that last m3 you posted ace

I wouldnt say their cheap there priced according to the market. A car looses 40%-ish value every 3yrs.

A £46k M3 quickly becomes worth 15k once its 6/7yrs old!!

Same with any car 16k Mk4 on 02 is worth about 5k now.

& so on.

Daft if you'd dismiss a 15k M3 because its too cheap!!

I'd be with Nik and would dismiss any below £20k, but thats me lol... When I was looking a year ago the top mint ones were still £30-35k... an avg one (52 reg, 50k... SatNav/TV & 19s) were still £25k and £20k got you a dog of a 51 reg with 70k+ and no options... we are only a year down the line and the higher spec ones are holding well but there seems to be a flood of cheap lower specced ones... which as I say, I wouldnt eprosnally touch

If I were going for one it would have to be with the toys etc because thats how they are portrayed... they arent as quick as people expect them to be and in plain form they look plain... but they have a certain image which you will lose with a boggo one

The thing I think people aren't perhaps realising is that if you don't spec SatNav/TV and HarmonKandon stereo... you get a tape deck and soem shitty std speakers

So an M3 with a tape deck in the dash

FFS I agree with you Well actually I agree with both you and Robbo on certain things It not having those things I listed would make ZERO difference to me, as they are things that I wouldnt really make use of anyway - but at the same time they are also part of what an M3 is about. My reasons for not going for one doesnt revolve around that though!!

Oh, and I didnt go to private school, or part of a polo club (I hate horses!) and he doesnt own a Jag (anymore)

My Golf has a tape deck, I look at it every morning & smile warmingly knowing its probably never been used!

Ah its not a huge issue for me, fuckit im more interested in the car than whats built into the dash.

lol

To me, an M3 can be a proepr sports car... i guess the age and availability of some older ones etc just makes them quick good looking cars to othe rpeople but i still see them as more luxury sports coupes
