its actually ford graphite grey mate, phone pics = shite lol

yea laquering as we speak, think before it was a combination of not enough coats of paint and laquer lol

used 5 coats this time, on my skirts and arches and rear bumper only put like 4 on? might still not be enough

well finished my bumper off today guys, and yes as suspedted, it a came out shinier than the rest of trim and skirts lol. *pics*

just finished and drying:
without laquer

with laquer

compared to front arch (big difference)

on the car:

so off came skirts, and masked up the arch's for more laquer (might need more yet but ran out lol):

and back bumper needs more laquer, to make as good as front lol

love the clour, and well pleased with how the front came out

will post better pics once all the same, (if i can)

wat you think?

cheers, aaron

me and james (spankyjames) were driving to see a mate and goin up a road close to my house had some yound 17year old driver come from no where and smashed into me.

now i know this area like the back of my hand and know how dodgy this road is, so im approching a junction, i slow right down due to cars being either side of the road and suddenly the ford Ka comes from nowhere.

he gets out, im pretty angry (as to be expected) and he comes out with i was only doing just over 20mph... into a blind junction with cars either side of the road?? is he stupid.

anyway me and james are pretty sure he's to blame and my mum looked at the pics i got and thinks the same.

so heres some pics i got...what do you think?

this is the one where it looks to be his fault
other side of the road?

damage to my car...broken light, and brackets, bumper brackets, slam panel slightly moved, scratches to wind.....

his car

looks as though, where my cars lowered, the middle of his bumper smashed mine.

i've said to him im happy to go round the insurance and repair myself with cash from him... but am still more than happy to go through insurance with these photos, waiting on him getttin back to me after talking to his parents? will ring him soon or if no joy, give his reg to my insurance company

well his dad wasnt having none of it, was just saying either go our own ways and fix the cars, or go throught insurance, even tho i was 99% sure it was his fault imo, i just said fuck it, ill fix my own car..... so £13.00 later (and that was just for the paint to touch up my trim) shes fixed

had to replace the cross member (took off my old corsa in uncles field)
and re-do d.i.y depo

the bend in the slam panel was just wear the light pushed back, slam panel was 100% fine.

just wanted it back on the road to be honest

small update:

put spankyjames 90mm springs on

before:

90 - 60

after:....
havent got one yet, letting them settle in, will get pics tomoz

and smoothed over my rear wiper hole, and respraying (decided to do this due to rust!)

not the best job in the world, but will do for now.

primer:

1 coat:

3 coats:

5...maybe 6 coats:

all to do now, is feather it in a bit to the original paint work and laquer. think im getting a bit better at spraying

and redone my boot lock surround and put my irmy badge on it
(not best pics, doesnt do it justice, looks wicked on the car)

what u think?

just got to redo my front bumper trim slightly to due to crash... on and touch up my reaer trim to as when i came home from work my towing eye cover was hangin off and someone had bumped into my car slightly according to my neighbour

Cheers, Aaron

help me decide what springs i want for pvs
as for the spraying on the boot, give it a bit of polishing on the hard edges, make it look much better

You should have masked, primed, removed the masking tape, rub down with 1000gritt, mask out beyond the primer then blow it in

If you try and machine polish that with G3 you will end up with a primer border.

theres a cm gap there to easily polish it up ill think you will find
just needs a bigger area to paint thats all
but 1000 nah stick with 800
