In all honesty though it's amazing how much emphasis in the media is placed on how much money benitez has spent/the number of players he has bought considering; the squad he inherited; the fact the numbers always includes youngsters; the fact he has managed to sell so many players for a profit etc etc.

Not only managed to sell them, but HAD to sell them.

People look at the total money he has spent, but he has raised half of that money himself through selling players at a profit them moving up the quality ladder and buying someone better.
