They're the style of HDR i've never been keen on.

Sometimes they work in b&w but otherwise the oversaturation of colour spoils it.

They're quality. so it's just a case of taking 3 pics in different apperature settings and merging them?

3 pics different exposure settings you dont want to touch the aperture because you will get 3 different focussed pics, use shutter speed, then you load it into photomatix and merge them then you have to spend a fair bit of time tweaking it to get the look you want

I dont like them.
I think they are impressive, but its not a real photo, it does not represent what was taken accurately.

they can be, and some of them are, especially the experimental ones

depends on how strongly you merge the layers

in fact you can get them looking more like reality then a normal image, as our eyes cope with varying exposures better then a camera, you can include details that would otherwise be lost in a normal image but that our eyes can see

theres a fair artistic emhpasis on some of the ones i have done.

What I mean is, if I looked at the sky, I wouldnt see what was in that pic would I? Thats what I want to see in a photo.

However I do appreciate the skill involved and such but I prefer just normal'ish photos.

its was quite an impressive storm cloud hence taking a pic

some of the colour is over exagerated a bit but its not a million miles off

I just like using what I have on the camera, coming back and taking the pics off.

Like I said, fair enough, the pics are amazing but its not the part of photography I enjoy.
Good work though, I wouldnt know where to start.

Maybe not, but it does make a massive difference if turned on (saves a normal + HDR version of the photo)

Cool feature imo
