VXR's aren't that quick either iirc, all around the 7 seconds to 60 mark, which when a standard rep diesel can do that isn't fast.
Which standard rep dervs are these that hit 60 in under 7 seconds?

Quite a few reasons actually.
After roughly 6 months and over 13k miles i decided i wanted a diesel. Ended up straight swapping it for a 04 plate ctr

Clio doesn't do it in under 7 seconds either, pick any of the ~200ish diesels and they'll do it in that.

If you do a proper 0-60 run I always thought tue Clio felt supremely quick. However rolling start from lower revs feels pedestrian tbh.

123D is 7 seconds dead
320D is 7.5
However just get a rado - its the future of having a bottomless pit of money to throw at

i know its not with all diesel cars, but the reason most of them do 'average' 0-60 times is because you have to go through a few gears to get there, and theres no point over reving one. im on about the ones around the skoda vrs power

By the way the standard 172 has 155bhp per tonne as opposed to the cup which has 170, so its quite a difference

exactly, they vary due to all the differendt models in the clio. Ive stripped the weight out of mine where no one notices. Alloy bonnet std, A/c, sound deadning under the carpet, bulk head ect. Spare wheel and std jack and box, rear wiper and motor. It does get a bit loud in there sometimes.

Good luck with that (in a non sarcastic way), I wanted a silver one but settled for blue and ended up loving it.

I dont think ive ever seen an actual silver 172 cup.
The blue is by far the best 172 cup colour. Even better with dark turinis

I still dont see the point? If you spend 123D and 320D money on a 172/182 if would be much quicker than the above diesels.

And if you spent 123d or 320d money on something jap with a turbo and it would be much quicker than them.
