Like what you'd get from Halfords etc for car audio?

If it is then it's CCA (Copper Coated Aluminium), you'd be far better off getting proper copper cable, thats why a lot of Corsa owners get BMW battery cable because it's proper copper. Copper carries more current per given size than CCA, CCA also corrodes easier.

Ah cheers for the tip. If I'm honest it does need to be bigger anyway so I'll get some thicker proper stuff soon!

If you can't find anyone selling proper battery cable at a decent price go on eBay and search "25mm welding cable" that's pretty flexible full copper cable and is near enough 4awg.

Weekender update

Went to the SXOC weekender...

Took it on track which was bloody awesome and the car felt great until on my 6th lap some thing went CLUNK and I lost all drive

After a 6:30hr recovery it was home

Then today we got the gearbox off

And it turns out it's shagged. No matter what gear it's in when the input shaft is turned the prop doesn't.

So it's like this until I source a new one!

Don't worry, we've put some anti vandal paint on there to stop them being picked.

Update

Fitted mikalor clamps to the intercooler to replace the jubilee clips

Put a new seal on my Greddy oil cooler sandwich plate, (57mm x 4mm) has reduced the leakage but not fully stopped it

Picked up a few upgrades for thr Z32 rear set up - grooved disks and EBC yellow stuff pads

And finally managed to get hold of A'pexi PFC hand commander, this makes putting my 740s and Z32maf on so much easier!

Update

New bucket seat!

Decided the sparco circuit VTR was just too much for road use and really was only suitable for track work so replaced it with a brand new Driftworks Imola pro that I got for a steal.

Fitted it in last night

Entering and alighting the vehicle is no longer a mammoth task! and it looks a hell of a lot better as the sparco was really worn out. I might get one for the passenger side but there are plenty of much more important things to spend the money on at the moment!
