We're apparently signing a big black striker. According to a man on 5live

Any of you lot watching the Gary Neville testimonial?
Seeing the likes of Beckham playing for United again
Owen has missed a few sitters though
Becks still has it. #hero
He should come back to Prem.
Not the Yids tho.
Agreed, he's looked ace tonight #Radarboots

Quality keeper, future Spain number 1 but it is a lot of money for a 20 year old goalkeeper considering he won't peak for another 10 years!
Still, I wouldn't doubt Ferguson.

One of the mirror football journalists on twitter is saying Fergie has confirmed we've signed him.

He confirmed it to sky sports; Not seen much of De Gea myself, i hope he lives up to the hype & isn't another Bosnich/Taibi

Casillas > Reina > De Gea
Casillas > Reina > Valdes > De Gea
30 > 28 > 29 > 20
So yeah, future number 1.

He is way too young to play for united, his catching is suspect to say the least and I think he will be a big mistake.
Not up to it IMO and will make mistakes, I hope I am wrong but that's my opinion at the minute.
Anybody go to the testimonial tonight? Getting to see beckham again in a united shirt was amazing, he is still good enough to play some part for us, would love fergie to sign him

Which keeper doesn't?
He's been Atletico's number 1 since he turned 18 and is already in Spain squads, he is clearly massively rated within football.
I'd have went for Lloris personally but Fergie obviously sees what De Gea can become.

Undoubtidly a good keeper. And at 20 years old he'll only get better, alot better.

Said months ago this would happen, and Steve confirmed it, if Steve rates him, then so should SAF

Strick you joker players going to leave, care to name a few (that we don't want rid of anyway)?
I can see Agger leaving, at no point did i say Suarez or Carroll to leave, i was more meaning players like agger, maybe reina (i know he said he is happy to stay but that's when europe looked likely) may change his tune again now, but i think he will stay
I'd be interested to see how Maxi, Merieles and Lucas think about another season not in europe, possibly one of them not to be happy with it
Players i can see going, including the ones you want rid of are
Poulsen, aquafresh, the greek fella or agger, joe cole, jovanovic, n'gog, and one of maxi/merieles or lucas
Leaving with a very very weak squad, and probably having to make do with raiding the likes of west ham/wigan/birmingham
Are you kidding me? Many of those players i'm pretty sure you will have said are not good enough previously. I hope we trim our squad because we need to (especially considering we aren't in europe) so we can accomodate the good youth we've got coming through, I still expect us to upgrade in 3/4 areas though.
Stupid post tbh.

We've reportedly bid £10m for Kevin Gameiro and also after Gervinho who's meant to be meeting Pardew this week
Don't really know anything about either of them though

Haven't seen much of that Gameiro, although heard Everton have been sniffing around him and shoch horror Spurs too
No disprespect but i'd expect Gervinho to end up somewhere else.

I've seen that you and Arsenal were both after Gervinho but think we're trying to push the fact we'll pay in full up front as a selling point
