Was genuinely shocked how many empty seats there were by the time the whistle actually went
Modern football is embarrassing. 'Best stop watching this game I paid £60 for so I can get my bottle of coke and a burger 4 minutes before everyone else.'

Happens in most grounds now tbh.
I don't even leave my seat at half time when I go.

But as we HAVE to have seats in the prem they may as well be padded?
If you went to an away game and it was £25 to sit or £20 to stand which would you choose?

All the away games I go to we stand anyway, so I'd pay £20 to stand.
If we didn't stand anyway, i'd choose to stand.

I'd always stand if I could. I only get to 3/4 away games a season but at all the away fans stand throughout.
I'll never deny the arsenal home support is 9 time out of 10 piss poor.
But away our fans are completley different.

On an unrelated note a guy at work in our fantasy football league got £100 from The Sun for being in the top 100 players for last month. He was 35th out of hundreds of thousands Quite a feat!

A bottle of coke you can't have the lid for so after 2 minutes its shit and flat.

Bloody eck, i go for a shower and its taken off in here. Lovely, i enjoy a good bit of debate.
On this point though, i disagree, padded encourages sitting down and a lack of atmosphere/singing. They should make them out of wood so they are proper uncomfortable.

But according to JJ its not proper atmosphere unless its in a shithole and you come out covered in blood, shit and piss. None of which is your own.

not quite that part, piss i could handle, but shit is a bit too far. I just prefer a football ground to be intimidating, especially as an away fan, it gets you so up for winning there, especially when the home crowd look as intimidating as the ground. Probably why i enjoy going to Luton so much Theres got to be some needle at games otherwise it loses its edge, football is best when you arrive at the ground nervous as fuck, theres a whole group of nutters just to the side of you...and then you score the winner and give it back to them.
I think id really struggle to get up for an away game at the Emirates if i was a fan of a team in the same league. Probably get treated like royalty on the way in and be made to feel all at home. And there nothing much threatening about the guy opposite you, wearing a pink suit jacket and a baseball cap with a flat peak whose only there because its trendy to go to football now and is more bothered that his hair looks right for the game over the actual result.

At least you wont have to see us celebrating going to Wembley again this year. Maybe League 2, but not Wembley.

If we dont go up then we can have a big clear out and stop papering over the cracks. If we do go up then the cracks can carry on being papered over, I don't mind
