id still say thats a goal tbh.
It pretty much went straight up off Cech's hand, if it had been over it would have struck the back of the bar and gone in, it flew back out so there was no way it could have been over imo.
i agree because one watched it back etc. at the time, id have said goal.
Yep, as it happened i said goal.

SENSORS IN THE FUCKING BALL!!!!!!! THAT IS ALL THAT IS NEEDED
So what happens if two people pick the ball just near the line and its not round i.e. the sensor will not be in the middle. How do you know if the ball is over the line. Not so easy to keep a sensor exactly in the middle of the ball
Good result overall I think. Chelsea will be happy they won. It will have given Bayern a good insight that there will always be chances. Fingers crossed for Bayern as its the only way Arsenal will get in the CL (combined with a favour from ManC)

Sensors in the panels of the ball, say 16 of them, once all 16 cross the line a message is sent to the ref. He confirms the goal

Sensors are not easy to get that accurate over a large surface (i.e. the goal)
Haw-eye is being trailed at a real game for the first time down at the Saints stadium at a local game soon - Eastleigh v AFC Totto

Another awkward interview from QK. I know they just lost but interviews are an outlet to the fans.

Who needs Hawkeye just get chrisritch to sit on the internet and tell us. Could send an update to the ref via Twitter no need to stop play

A lazer shining where the ball would be totally across the line and a sensor in the ball when the ball goes past it , it is a goal It sends a message to the refs watch

One sensor doesn't account for the whole ball

Works fine in ice hockey. I am aware that that is a solid puck, but I don't see why there'd be a problem with a football.
No doubt FIFA/the FA will pick a ridiculous solution that ruins the game

Its only used by the TV cameras in ice hockey isn't it. Is there an approved over the line technology by the NHL?

yes its what signals the lights and buzzer to indicate a goal - officials are not involved in the process

One goal judge is positioned outside the rink directly behind each goal net. For arenas so equipped, the goal judge turns on a red light behind the goal to signal a score.

I thought it was when the puck crossed the line, the buzzer and light sounded? You're saying it's a goal judge?
Fair enough, I always assumed it was the puck crossing a line

it's more the shrieking sound he makes when he said ONE. what a freak of nature.
don't get it anyway, it would've been 2-2 so unsure why he's saying 1.

It just makes our victory even better now the Bindipping fuckers are complaining about a disallowed goal that never was anyway.
