Maybe Spurs plan on becoming an established top 4 side (or better) and to do that and attract better players they need to keep Bale. Instead of cashing in and dropping back down the table.

Hence the comparison My point is, you can't stop someone that quick unless you bring him down or he over runs it. Toe to toe there are very few defenders who can stay with him.

the one thing stopping gareth bale from being world class is merely consistency, thus far for most of this season hes added it... last few seasosn he had the odd 2-4 games here and there then was anonymous or injured, this year (calendar certainly) he's been imperious and if he carries that on then no doubt he will be considered world class and someone will pay top dollar for him. still think he represents a big risk atm as he has been very injury prone the past few seasons but if he keeps it up for the rest of the year, he'll be £££ at his age

Sounds like a highly stereotypical event.

Reckon Real will win tbh, it's all they've got left to play for domestically, Barca will win by 2 or 3 at the weekend as he'll rest players for United.
