Fergie won't be around everyday. He's going to be a Director, but not Director of football.

Make no mistake this is a long term style of appointment with the future in mind, but in the short term i feel united will really drop in the league

The other thing with Moyes, who the fuck wants to play for him? Fergie attracted all the big names.

I think most people predict a drop in form but it will just be a few years IMO. As for who will play for him, it's still United we won't lose out on players just because Fergie isn't there.

Moyes is a superb manager but it doesn't matter who takes over, there will be a lull.
Man United is geared up from top to bottom to suit Ferguson, altering that will take time. However, Moyes track record of over-performing is similar to Ferguson's - just at a lower level.

Yeah you're right, I meant he will always be there for Moyes if needed sort of thing.

City are also likely to change manager this season so you could have the entire top 3 with new managers next season i still partly expect wenger to step down at the end of next season too, depending on how we do next season

Hope Moyes does well, he deserves a shot at this kind of job at the very least. Felaini will add a bit of strength to United's midfield too because he will no doubt go there now.
Regards to players not wanting to go there, they're still champions of England and in the champions league...and Fergie will still be around occasionally if they want to bask in his glow.
Shame Everton won't get any pay off from Moyes leaving though. They always need the cash

Its astoundign that noone has bought into everton yet! with a cash injection and a new stadioum, they could have been fighting with spurs and liverpool around the CL places for sure then maybe moyes would ahve stayed longer.

Bait?
Moyes is well respected by most players, that and the background, history and general Name of United together, i'm assuming he could bring in pretty much any player (certainly in the prem) he wants.

That United fan crying isn't half as funny as I was hoping it to be. Expected him to be a right state not just a little sniffle
