Not much progress to be honest but ive got the stage where I cant really do to much until the respraying has been done. I stripped door cards off and door handles ready for the body shop.
Ive then spent some time protecting the engine bay, wrapping it etc etc.
Body shop should be takig the car next weekend....fingers crossed

Cars now made it to the bodyshop last week which is positive. Getting a few extra bits done now while its there
Ive made a start on the morettes aswell and ordered some bits from Vauxhall, new ball joints, selection of bolts, bumper clips ect etc
Ive given the body shop my camera so hoping for some progress photos along the way!
I cant remember if I said...I bought some speedlines a while ago which are in great condtion. I just send some pics to the wheel refurb place and they asked if I was joking about getting them redone.............. I said I want them anthracite anyway!! haha

So the cars finally up on the ramp at the bodyshop so I feel a little better that it will be back on the road soon! I decided to replace the front window at the same time as the other one had quite a few nasty chips and I didnt want to drag the car down one its been sprayed.
I made some good progress on the morettes aswell
I drilled out the genuine carbon fibre plates to match the ducts I had purchased
I tried to use a 78mm one when I needed 81mm as I was trying to avoid buying a new one thinking I would sand the last bit by hand lol........................that failed so went and bought the 81mm jobbie. Glad I did because it was a snug fit!
I then drilled the holes in the duct and mounted up the indicators
I then heated up the glue guns in preparation for gluing the carbon fibre mounts onto the light covers.
This was pretty time consuming as I had to do it in stages to allow the glue to dry properly. They are now setting overnight and ill then be gluing the ducts in shortly.
I got carried away and never took any pics of the gluing process but they are fully glued in now just drying
more to follow soon................

Cracked on with the morettes
Got the duct to fit nice into the carbon fibre, and then drilled out the duct to accept the indicator. Was all a tight fit but hapy with the results
I then glued in the duct to the carbon fibre pieces and await them all drying up.
Next...............Im going to build the lights back up with fresh screws so it looks sweeeeeet

Slowly getting there with more progress
Decided to put in a brand new winscreen as the old one ws scratched and chipped and I didnt want it on a freshly painted car. Called the windscreen people and they turned up at the body shop and pulled out the old one. Need to arrange their return once its finally painted.
Some progress though..............
My wheels are also ready for collection and looking mighty fresh!!!!
More progress soon as ive been told the cars in primer

After a long discussion with the length of time this was taking I decided to give it another week before taking it back, I returned on the Saturday to soo this as I pulled up
It wasnt fully completed though the bumpers, irrors, handles etc were on the bake and the bonnet and spolier were 'work in progress'. Top spray jon though cant fault whats ive seen so far
I wont be wasting time in building it up so will put a full couple of days in when im off work.......
