Yeah he's an improvement over Johnson. I'm not saying Clyne is a world beater or anything, but he improves their back four.

Although vastly different players, £17m for Shaquiri for £8m less than is being said of Schneiderlin just shows the outrageous PL player tax.

I saw shaqiri deal as 12m, not £17m? Also, Schneiderlin has had 2 very good EPL seasons, shaqiri has never really set any league on fire so the fees seem reasonable IMO......

I'm not saying Schneiderlin is a bad player, but it's made even worse when the £25m was rejected.
I read £17m, but now seeing £5m less so again, less than half the price is mind boggling.
Shaquiri hasn't had a huge amount of chances at Bayern, but when I've watched him, he was always a handful.
Played very well for the Swiss last summer too. Tbh, if he plays to his potential, he'll be moving on in Jamuary if Stoke get him.

He's never played to his potential yet tho, you always get someone who has a cracking World Cup. I think Stoke is his level IMO, hence Bayern & Inter not wanting him. Also, in that Stoke team, it shouldn't be too hard to stand out.

as cavey said very highly rated at nots county, prob made the wrong move going to Oldham under Paul Dickov, quite pacey winger who ive seen play as both left and right winger, basically like a younger Junior Stanislas
