I just have an intense dislike for pop up headlamps. Unsure why. I also think the F40 looks gay as fuck with them up and I think I'm in the minority there too
P.s. Only reason the Z4 is referred to as a hairdressers car is the roof. Usually by retards in old mondeos. Drive one and then say that. Big engine with decent power, rwd, sitting near enough on the rear axle. It's impressed many a people.
That's pretty much the reason I haven't bought a nice new fwd ST. I love the look of them, but I prefer the way mine drives
I imagine I'd love the MX5 also, though it'd need more power imo. I think they can be supercharged relatively easy? That would be awesome!

Looks alright for a laugh that generation. Not sure about the slammed society UK sticker though
Sometimes I agree about pop up lights. I used to have an mr2 turbo and spent ages everytime I drove it to just half open the lights so they didn't stand out as much

Is a 1.8, loads of fun to drive. Deliberately got mk1 for those lights: had a meet already, no pretentious pricks and met loads of top people. Community is thriving

Never thought I'd own one, had a go in one few weeks ago fell in love. So much fun, and so cheap. Happy days

It's an old car, if it was mint it wouldn't be a project I'd enjoy.

Only thing I disliked about mine was the leaky roof which made the seats wet whenever it rained

I like that shape MX5, prefer with hardtop personally but like them none-the-less. There's a ncie one around in Derby. Grey, lowered, slight bit of poke on the rear wheels, with 'moulded' (forget the proper term) spoiler.

Duck lip?
I bought brand new roof yesterday, this one doesn't leak but is super tatty.

Welcome to the club, had my mk1 about 4 years now. Never gives me any trouble
I don't do many miles in it but it's seen a good few track days and hill climbs, great fun

Also make sure you insure it through a classic policy. Much cheaper, agreed value, don't really charge for mods etc

Yeah, think I got bit stung on that, but paid £400 for the year. Not too bad anyway, but from people I've spoken to, I'd have paid about half that. Oh well
