Certainly worth watching and sticking with it, although i thought it dragged a little in places.

Haven't seen anything recently but have Rendition to watch and hopefully seeing Avengers.

Seen the Avengers at long last and it was a solid 8/10 however with hindsight I wouldn't have bothered with the 3D as it was extremely poor and actually made it uncomfortable to watch in places, standard IMAX would have been better.

Clerks - 5/10

Some good dialogue, but not good enough to keep me entertained. 20 minutes would have sufficed.

The Terminator - 6/10

For some reason I've only ever seen T2, T3 and Salvation so was much looking forward to T1.
It might have been awesome once, but it has NOT aged well. Not very engaging and the Terminator seems to have huge problems killing a single woman even though he gets no opposition what so ever...
Back story stuff is cool though and I'm very impressed at how well T1 and Salvation fit together. A lot of small details that fits.

I think you had to see T1 before it was 28 years old to enjoy it...
Nothing about it is compelling and I MUCH prefer badass Sarah from T2 to huge-haired personalityless Sarah from T1.

Seeing them in the correct order is a must. T2 should never out do t1. T2 is amazing but would be fuck all without the original.

Super 8 - 8/10
Was pleasantly surprised by this, had the feel of an ET or Flight of the navigator imo

But that fits with the storyline, she was a littler waitress who was a nobody who had a Terminator trying to kill her She only got badass trying to survive. Plus the first one is a lot darker, less tongue in cheek.

Yes, of course it fits. And as I said, I enjoyed the back story you get in T1. I just don't care for the character. Or any of the characters really...

As for it being darker I really don't see that.
Every aspect of T2, from the main character being a child going through very adult experiences to scenes like Miles Dyson dying in the Cyberdyne building are remarkably more sinister than anything T1 delivers.
Not even to mention the ruthless T-1000 that brutally impales people.

A scene I really enjoyed in T1 was the T-800 repairing himself in his motel room. The terrible wax puppet replacing Arnold ruined this though.

I can appreciate that T1 and T2 are very similar in many aspects, which would lead fans of the first to enjoy this more for being the original.
But can you honestly not see how T2 could seem to offer a better story and greater entertainment value if seen in the reversed order?

It didn't get me hooked, a bit like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy didn't.

I felt like I had to put all my concentration into it and it just wasn't happening.

Maybe a blonde moment

Moneyball - Got into it, and a really good film, untill the last 20 mins where the writers must have got bored and wrote such a shit ending - 5/10

Easy A - Shit film, easy to watch though - 4/10
