Spent a bit of time this afternoon finding out about routes round the Lake District, up the mountains and over the passes. Loads of places to go and explore with a bike. Few hike a bike climbs as well. Possibly not the best time of year to start exploring but hey!

Although cree is decent for its cash the battery doesn't last a lot on full beam I've found sadly.

I get nowhere near that maybe 2.5 hours on full beam. It doesn't last anywhere near as long as it "claims" to on the box.
Edit in fact the box says 180 minutes on full beam so I'd say 2.5 hours in real world time is about right!

The link you have put up says 2.5 hours full beam cole.
Both lights seem to last about the same time, which is about 2.5 hours on full beam. Can you tell me where you got yours from cole as it seems to last double so would be a worthwhile upgrade from the ones I have?

I've had one of those Cree lights plus a Hope Vision 2, and have now got an Exposure Toro + Exposure Joystick and I'd never go back to lights with battery packs, too much hassle with storage etc, plus the Exposure lights are incredibly light (no pun intended)

Right now I'm in one of them 'no choice' weeks, my jeep has a mechanical issue which needs resolving so I'm not driving it at the moment. So no problem there
previous to this I would just ride in one day and drive another, or ride in 3 days (in a row) and drive the last 2.
But it has its problems, like on Friday I need to get to the bike shop to test ride a potential new road bike so I need to get up alot earlier at home so I can arrive at work earlier, and leave earlier, to get to the bike shop before it closes. Oh and the subject of food shopping, this week it will be done online

Hope Hoops with Stans ZTR Crest rims are on the bike. Just a few more maintenance issues then I can pick her up.
Should be lighter and better rolling than the Hope Pro II hubs with Mavic 36h 321 rims I had on it

I really need some new wheels, current rear is so rough. One day I'll afford some Hope hubs!
Just bought myself a GPS thingy mainly just so I can track and follow the London to Brighton Ride on Saturday

What phone have you got?
Could have saved the money and put towards some new hubs/wheels.
Mine are going to set me back about £300...
