Robben did the same, scoring 2 on his debut. Saying that he did cost over £20m!

We are nowhere near financial ruin as RBS just renewed all the loans with the Yanks on July 27th for another 12 months.
They did however tell them they had to lower the loan amount, hence why they then went back on the amount we had to spend this summer.

Lovely lads.
I'm getting sick of waiting now, just over 5 hours until window shuts and no news yet.

I thought Hughes had bought some decent players this season and they were looking quite good, but Bentley  is the most over-rated player ever.
What a waste of time and money, unless they plan on just playing him in the League Cup.

BBC Sport's roving reporter Sam Lyon: "Unsurprisingly, getting hold of football agents on the last day of the transfer window can be trickier than a four-foot-square Rubix Cube, but luckily for you good people I have a direct line to the biggest and the best by way of a batphone. Now, I have more digging to do to firm up what I've just been told by my high-profile man-in-the-know, but here's a teaser, to be taken with a pinch of salt for now: a big-money transfer will happen in the north-west today, with Everton and Liverpool, as well as Man City, ready to splash the cash; Arsenal hope to do a late deal for a midfielder; and Portsmouth are in the process of negotiating 427 incoming signings, of which maybe three will come off. I may have exaggerated the last one, but you get the idea."
Im not sure which cash he thinks we are going to splash unless the owners have changed their mind again and given Rafa the money he had taken off him a few weeks ago.

This is a better one actually..."Just been driving to work, taking my daily route going past Old Trafford. On going past I saw someone that looked like Andre-Pierre Gignac stood with David Gill and another man. Gignac was talking to Gill with what looked like a contract in his hand."
Yeah, because thats how it works. He signs his contract and walks out with it in his hands with the Chairman, to be seen by all, probably to hail a black cab to go back home.

Spurs should be winning the league the amount of money they are spending. Petrov is a cracking player, bit one dimensional but good at what he does.
