How much would you say 819s with hope 2 hubs weigh? They feel proper light, what could I swap them for to make my bike even lighter?

That's ok then, they do feel proper light. I need to get rid of the chunky tyres though. I only ride on the roads and need it to be quick and tubeless. Are racing Ralphs the ones to go for? At 2.1 they sound a bit wide but they seem to get recommended.
Lighter the better really as my bike is pretty much full carbon.

Could have saved the money and put towards some new hubs/wheels.
Mine are going to set me back about £300...
Got decent phone which I've previously used for strava but don't like doing longer rides relying on phone battery, should happen and I actually need to use the phone for its main purpose! Plus been after one that I can put routes on to follow

So, as some of you may or may not know I do a charity ride every year that gets organised by my late friends dad and another friend. We did Lands End to John O'Groats a few years ago and have done a couple of shorted 3-4 days rides in France since.
Well, this morning I have been told that they are in the early stages of planning a big ride for 2015. Rome to Bournemouth via Monaco. Not sure how many days in yet but should be a cracking trip.

Yeah. I guess its gonna be about 1400 miles? Ive not had any word on how many days they plan for us to do it in but gotta be looking at close to 3 weeks I would have thought?
As we are going to Monaco I am going to ask if they put the Cipressa and Poggio climbs on the route as the pros go up those on Milan - San Remo.
Gonna start banging in some bigger rides now I think as I have been a bit shit recently.

Unfortunately its going to be dry its nice and sunny here right and as its very chalky round here should dry nicely for tomorrow. Worst part will be the 12 miles on the downs link very sandy.
Keep an eye out for my friends at southcoast suspension and wheels mobile bike repairs they will be looking after you guys if you have any mechanicals

Went out on MTB last night. Rear tyre went flat about 1.5 miles in and would not pump up. Finished the ride at snails pace lucky I didnt destroy my rim
Put some more stans sealant in when I got home and its good to go again. Very frustrating that a 20 mile round trip resulted in only 6 miles of riding though.
Went to the driving range afterwards took my frustration out on 100 golf balls.

That's why I will stick to tubes. Seems loads of people have hassles all in favour of saving a gram or 2 in weight.

First 'hassle' I have had in 230 miles.
Got puncture with tubes first 3 times I rode my MTB.
So from my own personal experience, I currently favour no tubes.
