Well, here are a few pics of the damage i have got to attempt to repair on my SXI's before getting them looking tidy (on a budget) again
And to add to the work, the dog decided to slide along on my centre cap while i was sorting the brakes the other week

I just realised why the lips on my Sport wheels look neater than that - My sport came with 185/60/14's as standard, so have more width of tyre to hit the kerb first, rather than the rim.
Those lips are also completely fudged, I wouldn't bother trying to fix the lip as such - just sand it so the whole lot is smooth with no more gouges, and even if you have part of a lip in places and none at all in others, if you sand gradually it won't be very noticeable.
Have fun with them won't you

They are pretty gone all the way around Told you they were bad.
TBH im just going to sand them slightly, then get rid of the marks on the spokes and then spray them up. Once they have a bit of paint on the lip i dont think it will be as noticable maybe....

just get the tyres popped off the rim and then u wil lbe able to do the edges and they wont cost much, slip the tyre man a tenner for his trouble and then u can blow them up and pop them back on.

Make sure you put it on with some mole-grips or something. Use a rubber glove to stop teeth marks on the aerial

Holiday time, so decided to give the car some long awaited tlc.
Planning to refurb the SXI's anyways, so they needed a wash and seeing as the whitey's needed a good clean i figured id put the SXI's back on for a bit.
So gave them a wash first -
Had some long periods of brake dust to try to remove
Clean - only have 3 front pics though?
/img]
Tee hee
Dirty whitey's off -
Clean whitey's - clayed, super resined and ultra deep shined. Then tyre walls got given some turtlewax stuff i bought, smelt of oranges
But clean wheels showed these up -
So touched them up and all was good
Washed -
(had to refit front plate as it was becoming unstuck)
Then while vacuuming it out i found this
As far as i know, this is the LED that i dropped into my air vent system whilst trying to fit it to the MFD Result.
Clay time -
Bonnet -
Drivers door -
Was cleanish and shiney already
Then super resin polished her and ultra deep shined her
(lol at deformed arm)
Back to blacked the grey bumpers
Shiney
Then i noticed one of my mudflaps was a bit 'dirty' so rubbed it with the polish stuff i was using on my exhaust, but the colour came off So i had one black griffin and one silver one
But i now have 2 fronts which are silver, 2 rears which are black. It looks shit. Im going to paint the griffins white so they match my wheels more
SXI's ready for refurb to start this week
And got home last night to find this FTL
Anyways, that was my day in pictures so left to go to the pub and forgot to take pictures, woke up next day and it was lashing it down

oooooooooh shiny, it took me a while to work out what the last pic was, i thought it was a big crease in the bodywork with a gate reflection

I should really have mentioned it was a gate and just one headlight.
