I do. It needs a gearbox, so I'm splitting it to pay my mum back for the wheels and suspension she's effectively bought me

I drove it 14 miles and limped it the final mile, it's sat outside my flat since. I wasn't even giving it stick, just making sure it was ok and something started making a terrible noise

That simply cannot be good Surely you'll get top dollar for that engine alone? The wheels are basically brand new too, and the brakes etc will be worth a few bob!

Engine is good, the manifold will get a few quid, as will the turbo, there's probably £800 in them alone.

Engine without manifolds is worth say, £1500 as it's got a ported head, new cambelt and ARP head studs

Wheels are decent, as you say, and the brakes are worth a few hundred quid.

I'm going to try to get the money back without selling the management, steering wheel, boost controller and tyres, but we'll see

Totally depends what I can keep. Could be a Corsa 1.8 16v on TBs, could be a 5 cylinder Porsche 924, could be that I chop the BM in for something else (Clio 197 Cup) and not bother with a toy, it really does depends on how it goes job wise and how much of the Fiesta stuff I can sell.

I think you should sell everything, including a kidney, and buy an old Quattro 10v.

I've got storage issues though, at the moment, I've got the Fiesta parked in the parking space for our flat, the BMW parked in the visitor's space, and my mum's Corsa parked in the parking space for my nan's flat.

The Fiesta is SORN and I shouldn't be parked in the visitor's space

I need to get a garage before I can even consider another toy TBH (and if it was an Audi, it'd be an S2, not a quattro, too much money for less valves and more rust )

Less is more my dear! I now think you should rent a garage and buy a Hillman Imp. Don't ask why, just do.

I like your thinking, I've always had a soft spot for a good old Limp.

You just need to buy something silly I am desperate for more power I keep annoying the local VXR drivers', but there is a Mk4 Golf GTi that goes like stink Looks standard, but it keeps pulling away from me. Not by much, but more than the Vauxhalls A Supersprint system, Raceland 4-2-1, and a Fibreglass skin for bonnet/boot is required for the time being. 185+ bhp/tonne should annoy said GTi driver and be enough to keep me happy before my (probably not) untimely demise

How about 225/50/13's Eck? That's what a mate currently has fitted to his WIP Fiesta Mk II, with Capri 2.8 V6 drving the correct wheels
