Rather contradicting that you want to remap it for more power, but don't want to run it on Super.

Yours 1.8T??
To be honest I do...15 miles a week due to living in London and getting the train most places...car would be left on the drive Monday to Friday...Saturday would get the shopping in and a few little runs...
Only week I would do a lot of miles would be the weekend home to Liverpool which is around a 430 mile roundtrip...
So your talking less than 500 miles a month with 450 of those being on the motorway....
I dont reckon the 1.8T would be THAT thirsty...plus the extra money for the PD150 wouldnt be worth while..
Maybe a 1.8T is the better option with my current mileage...

Yeah 20VT bud
I did a load of calcs and found that despite my high mileage, the extra outlay of a diesel (lookign at at least £500 more for a diesel on average) makes it even... + the petrol is more versatile in my eyes

You only really get the benefit of a diesel if you are doing 12k+ a year. If I did less I might of bought a 2.0T

Those both lovely but I feel it would be wasted on me & the miles im doing & state I allow my car to get in, hense why I didnt mind high miles. Ive done 6k since mid October & the car was off the road for 4-5weeks
tbh for 10-11k in a petrol golf id be looking for an R32....personal choice
